when you go back someplace after a long absence, you sometimes feel like you're coming home. sometimes you're so nervous you feel like you're going to explode before you make it there. sometimes you're some of each. and i think those are really the places that are most worth visiting, because they're a part of you, but seperate. you're afraid you won't recognize it on the outside, but know the feeling that place gave you. you worry about how you'll be accepted, but know that you will be. or at least, you know that after you arrive there. things aren't the same as when you left there. people definately aren't the same, but memories are. the old you and the new you can, for once, blend. most of the time you try to keep those parts seperate, but every now and then you have to put them side by side, reach a balance, and move on. places like that are what allows you to change without changing too much.
