(no subject)
Wow...so much has been going on lately, I'll try to break it down without this post taking forever :)
*I got the most bizarre compliment the other day...so I'm running late for work on this happy Saturday, so I just spray this "seawater in a bottle" stuff in my hair instead of actually fixing it up. I hop in the car and head down the highway toward the cheap gas station by my house when I start hearing honking. I look around and I see this guy in a truck next to me...holding up a paper with his phone number written on it. Wow, and I thought my hair looked bad. Either way, I was flattered in a weird sort of way. That's definitely never happened to me before.
*I finally got registered for my advanced biochem class at UAB. That's right, I'm going back to school, taking a couple more undergrad courses in preparation for my genetics PhD application this year. Anyway, I find out that this is a two-part class, which ties up both my semesters before application time. Unfortunately, I'm just not awesome enough to work full time plus overtime *and* take more than one class. Sad day. So now I'm trying to contact professors and see what my best option is. Sadly, it's looking like the two-part biochem might be it. Ick.
*My beastie is sick and I miss her so much! Shay is at the doctor's until tomorrow because she threw up constantly for two nights. Yes, I did take her in between said two nights, and after the second one we discovered she had a blockage. One kitty enema seemed to take care of that, and now they're just monitoring her. I visited and took her some of her own food today, and she seemed to be doing much better. So, hopefully I'll get to bring her home tomorrow and everything will go well (eating, drinking, poo, all that good stuff...and no barf!). I've been all pouty since all this started Thursday and I had to go without her at home. I can't wait to pick her up!
Well, I suppose that's about it in a nutshell. I hope I can get all this school stuff straightened out this week, especially since class starts nest Tuesday :)
