Yesterday. Due to sola1070 usual lectures being not on and the lect before that finishing early, I had 1.5 hr to myself before my next class. I went up to lvl 10 of unsw library [t'was purely coincidence that I noticed lvl 10 is... geography- based? has country stuff.] Because I don't like the catalogue computers and they were also located 9 levels below, I was browsing through the books row by row in hope of finding the Scandanavian section, and hopefully Kalevala. Some countries had a lot of books; germany, japan, china [the whole of one wall], the US [perhaps more than one wall] and Australia [uh... 2 walls, perhaps? tis our country afterall =w=- the books in there are less boring though, one had title similar to "should have listened to grandpa" or something simiar. very interesting read]. Russia/Soviet Union got a bit too. That said, on average each country gets around one shelf from top to bottom. Though when I *finally* found the nordic countries... Sweden + Finland + Iceland books added together only took up... 3 rows of the shelf perhaps. the rest is about the Dutch. I think I might have seen one book on Denmark, but i'm more inclined to believe that I was confusing it with "Dutch". Ah I remembered, saw Denmark mentioned in the book "Scandanavian History" or "Vikings". Methinks Norway got even less mentions...
A book titled "Finland and Its Relations with Modern Europe" was interesting to read though.[perhaps I should borrow it and finish reading it, orz.]
Perhaps I wasn't looking under the right section, or perhaps there really is that little books on them...- plan to explore the library a bit more on friday
oh the things this fandom makes me do
in other news, Terra E seems to surve the times better than my past fandoms....kkm and fma, that is.
