Remember this form about which I ranted at some length? Remember that we put D down as the first person for the school to contact in an emergency?
Today PB was ill and had to be collected from school. Whom did they ring first? Me.
Luckily, because I am a crap parent, I had gone to a meeting not taking my mobile phone with me, so I didn't get it. So then they rang D and said could he or his wife come and pick PB up. He says he was too worried about PB (who is fine, it turns out) to say 'what wife?' But it sounds like they couldn't really believe that he would abandon his Important Manly Work to look after a sick child. My Trivial Pocket-money-earning Womanly Work is clearly much more likely to be interruptable.
I am very, very cross indeed.
