LB food log: Friday

Nov 11, 2011 19:22

Breakfast:
Runny grobbles (stewed crab apples) with yoghurt and museli
Wholemeal bread with butter and honey
Few mouthfuls of milk

Pre school-run snack:
1/2 an apple

Midmorning snack:
rest of the apple

Lunch:
White roll with butter, with a little bit of secret cheese. Anchovy fillets in the roll but not actually eaten (too vinegary, I think)
The secret cheese ruse did seem to be genuinely amusing him, and also me, so I think that's okay. He wasted most of what he asked for, but that's okay in my book.
Pineapple
1 orange
Sentimental: when I was pregnant with PB the extra food I ate was mostly cake. With LB it was mostly oranges. I sentimentally imagine that PB's love of cake and LB's love of fruit is because of this.
Apple juice

On way home from school run:
Two Sesame Snaps
Way to go. PB was beginning to campaign for a stop off at the sweet shop on the way home, but Sesame Snaps distracted them both. They may be a little processed and sweet, but I'd much rather they ate these than sweets.

Tea:
1 wholemeal pitta bread
Optimistically hoped he might try the ac ompanying falafels or carrot or parsnip salad, but my hopes were defeated. I was not surprised. And not very bothered. Yay.
1 breadstick dipped in reasonable quantities of humous
Coconut milk, pineapple and runny grobbles smoothie
3 (!) pieces of flapjack (heavy on the sunflower and pumpkin seeds)
I don't think I was only feeling mellow and relaxed about this meal because I was drunk

A bit low on vegetables and high on wheat (every meal), but not disastrous in protein terms. Nothing to worry about. Or, at least, I am feeling much less worried.
