Oh My Little Pony, what are you doing to me.
I have the sudden urge to write fanfics again after a long dry spell. This is rather typical since I should be working on something else. (Namely the fact I have the chance to be published in a scientific journal along with my lab partner within the same paper). It's really just going to be our projects condensed though so really most of the work is finished. There's just that irritating thing where you read over you work and see/realise mistakes (even simple english mistakes) you missed before you submitted it for marking.
I kind of also have an idea for a multichapter My Little Pony: FIM fic, but I am absolutely terrible at writing multichapter fics until the end. Besides, while I've written the first part (Prologue) more or less, I am absolutely clueless with regards how to continue and usually, even with some of my abandoned projects, I had SOME idea as to what to do. I mean not to give too much a way but I could technically go with a lot of other world building if I wanted and I usually love that sort of thing. I guess what I have could work as a slightly depressing/mysterious one shot but it would still need work. Still, something to consider. For the curious, it involves Discord, Twilight and Pinkie Pie. But I might even see if I can finish something before posting any of it.
Another idea I have comes from the latest episode. I want to write Luna and Twilight friendship as a one shot. I think that's more likely to happen. Celestia is involved too to some degree (and it's mainly from her perspective). But I think I'll have to watch the latest episode a few times to get a 'feel' for Luna more so I get her right. I just have some ideas too as to why Luna was so bad at social interactions/out of touch even though she'd been in Equestria for some time and doesn't really turn Celestia into a huge troll/tyrant- even though of course I love Trollestia and the tyrant thing can be really interesting if done right. I won't go into too many specifics there either though.
And I know it's ridiculous to be so caught up in getting ponies right but I waaaaaant to get it riiiiggght. ~Whines like Rarity~
But I'll probably post the result on ff.net and advertise it here, maybe join that lj mlp group too. Though this fandom has probably had five people have the exact same ideas as me already.
And thus ends a stupid post no-one was interested in. :P
