Exercise leaking with Yuuki classic

Hi, I'm really hoping someone could help me out with this.

Last year, I bought both the small and large Yuuki Classic as my first set of cups. I have a medium-low cervix, so I wanted to see what size would work best. For the first few months, I started out with the small, but it always leaked no matter what I did, so I tried out the large and ( Read more... )

I’ve actually been in the same position as you are when it comes to the cup leaking during exercise but fine during everything else. I think it is due to the cup getting crushed during exercise. I couldn’t do any workout with the cup because it would leak and sort of get out of place. I had to resort to wearing during exercise but of course I couldn’t do that for too long. So what I ended up having to do was to research to see which cups were shorter. First I chose the Meluna sport shorty large cup and worked out great because it was short and my muscles didn’t get to crush the cup. I ended up also get the Meluna sport shorty XL to have a little bit more capacity. I normally empty the cups before starting exercise so I didn’t think that having to change out cups would be a big deal since it’s so much smaller to transport around. Sorry I know this doesn’t exactly address the problem but for me this is what I ended up having to do to solve the issue of bleeding during exercise. I hope this may help you.

Hi, honeypie3251. No need to be sorry, any advice is helpful to me. I'm glad you found something that works for you. I'll definitely look into the Meluna Sport Shorty cups. Maybe it's exactly what I need. Thanks!

Good luck in finding one that will help during exercise! I figured a shorter cup would help and I’m thankful it has. I am glad that I got both the large and XL of the sport shorty MeLuna. I think the large is good on days when doing ab work so it won’t dislodge so easily. Not that the XL has but if I’m doing anything that a bit hardcore I’ll use the large. But they are both really good for exercising IMO. I hope you’ll find your Goldilocks cup for workouts!!!

Thank you so much for all your help. This is very good information. I never thought about using a shorter cup for workouts. I think I'll give the MeLuna sport shorty a try, but do you know how many years the MeLuna cups typically last? I like to get an idea of when I should buy a new one. Thanks again!

No problem. So far I’ve had my Meluna for 4 years and there’s no signs of deterioration or anything that would be concerning.

Sorry for jumping in here but have you tried the Meluna while practicing yoga? I’m a teacher and have back to back classes at times. I’m a cup newbie. This is only my second cycle and the first one didn’t go well. Leaking issues galore with the Athena and the Duchess cups. I just got a mooncup and am hoping I’ll get through this period without any leakage on days I’m not teaching. I’d like to have an option for when I wear a cup while practicing yoga.
Also, I’m experiencing a lot of discomfort this time around. I’m not sure if I’m hitting my cervix with the mooncup or it’s inserted too high.
What worked for you guys? And how was the Meluna sport experience?
