Newbie, not sure about Mooncup - which other cups to consider?

Feb 05, 2015 20:40

I recently bought a Mooncup (UK) and have just started using it. I understand it takes a while to get the hang of it, but I'm wondering if I made the right choice and if I should get another type to try ( Read more... )

Get through the dreaded learning curve with the cup that you already have. Then consider others. There are size/capacity charts at http://sizecharts.livejournal.com/ and also at the Community FAQ. But that having been said, I think your issues are more a question of technique and unfamiliarity than a poor fit.

I would suggest figuring out how far you can get your finger goes inside when searching for the cervix than (after washing your hands) put your finger against a tape measure to get an more accurate length measurement to use.

This awesome cup comparison chart was updated 1st Feb 2015 and it shows all cups n sizes, truly brilliant!!!

You can use this when you know your body's dimensions :)

Thank you for the size chart links! I've narrowed it down to a large Meluna (soft or classic) or a small Miacup.

I agree I need to keep trying but would prefer to learn with a softer cup. At the moment it's too painful and it's making me reluctant to try!

...or a small Lunette?? I'd like medium width, length and softness... if that exists!

I'd like to know how you all get free samples to try. I have been folwing this group for quite some time now and not sure which to get and such so I'd like to try some first. And where to buy? I can guarantee that if I walked into my local Walmart they would look at me like I'm crazy.
