Ghost Columnist

I've been vice-editor of our monthly for a few months now. I think I get better in working with texts, writing headlines etc., and of course better in news writing - although I'm not sure. This month one of our few columnist, of which we are not satisfied at all lately, was just too busy to write one, a fact shared with us a day before the deadline. So I told my editor I'll write it. You get it - I'm ghost-writing a personal column, and a lame one at that. I asked the columnist a few q's, did a little e-research and read the two last columns, to refresh myself on style and to identify features. After that it came really easy, I shot it in a quarter of the time it takes to write my own columns. To top that, it came out both very similar and fairly interesting, even tighter than the original.
So now y'all need to find someone to ghost-read it for you (and a tip o' the hat to Seinfeld for the last gag).
