Today, I decided that I was going to put in the rock garden I had been planning.  I picked up the plants at work on Friday and it was finally nice enough to get some work done.  The place where I decided to put the bed in was this rocky, desolate little space, full of noxious weeds and other unpleasantness.

 I've been thinking about this off and on the last couple of weeks, especially this week.  I attend Penn State, which is Pennsylvania's Land Grant school, and the university was founded on agriculture.  Fairly recently we learned that the university is planning on making major cuts to the College of Agricultural Sciences.  There was a meeting that ( Read more... )
