Tattoos and Influence

So there was a lot of talk about Tattoos on Twitter today which got me thinking about the sort of tattoo I would like when I move out. I've always wanted a tattoo, but my step-father abhors them, and would not mind kicking me out over something as simple as a tattoo you can't even see. People always tell me they want a tattoo that has some how ( Read more... )

I draw the Deathly Hallows symbol on my ankle sometimes in class. If I ever get a Harry Potter tattoo, that will be it.

My childhood books were The Prydain Chronicles. Taran is/was/will be the inspiration for my life forever. As he grew up to be a man, I grew up to be an adult. And when he sacrificed eternal life and youth to be the King of a mortal land, to die serving his people, to keep his promises, I realized what it truly means to give of oneself fully and how to do it with a joyful heart. And when he found love, I believed in love for the first time. If I ever get a real tattoo, it would be something from The Prydain Chronicles. IDK what but I'm looking. Maybe a quote or something. There really aren't that many symbols (none of which are drawn in the books or universally recognizable by the fans) but if it ever happens, it will be from The Prydain Chronicles.

I've never read the books but I completely understand what the books mean to you.

There aren't that many symbols from the Chronicles of Narnia that I could just like use, I mean maybe the lamp, or some rings, or even Aslan, but I would want it to mean something at the same time instead of just being something from the books. I was thinking four crowns taking place of the NESW in a compass too.

You know, I've never read Narnia. I own a big one volume set of them all but have never read them. I really need to. -puts higher on list-

I like the compass idea. It really neat but meaningful at the same time.

I've got the one big book also! It helps because its in the 'chronological' order, even though its not in the order that C.S. Lewis intended them to be read in.

I know! I'm thinking of that and the quote, but that might be overkill. I really like the compass idea because each of the kids had a section of the land to 'rule' over, so it works even better than I thought it would.
