Back up and online!
Ok, we appear to be up and running again! Phone line was repaired on Wednesday after only 5 days without any service. and internet is back since yesterday. The relief is huge, not just for me but for my parents and visiting 13 year old nephew as well! My brother actually called us on the first night the lines were down because we were all offline and that is almost unheard of in our house! When I told him the lines were down, he didn't understand at first that I meant literally down. Lying on the ground....the line repairman speculated that a big truck snagged it on our very narrow road.
Finally got to see Day 4 and Day 5 of Torchwood : Children of Earth...I should totally have listened to my sister...and dragontatt and
aurora_84 but no, had to watch it for myself....the trauma is only just starting to wear off...I think I am scarred for life! I in fact got the DVD's in the mail the same day the lines came back up! I'm not sure I'll ever be able to watch them though...whimper.
Definitely not going to Cardiff. Definitely bummed. Maybe next year. My coworker who is on maternity leave soooo owes me time off next summer! She had her baby on the 16th of July and should be back at work in mid-October. Until then? No holideys for me...sniffle....I know I just spent 3 weeks in the US in May....but that is BESIDE THE POINT!
I will be making a lightning trip to Wales the weekend of the 8th of August for my sister's birthday (40 years old, how can my little sister be 40 years old?).
