First of all, thank to all who read my birthday post and sent prayers and thoughts to Bella and Skye.

Unfortunately Bella passed away yesterday. She was 101 days past her bone marrow transplant that her family hoped would cure her epidermolysis bullosa. Now she's cured in Heaven.

I turned 22 on Thursday. I gave myself the day off class, and took a nap. At 4 pm, my actual birth"day" time, I opened a package from my parents, which contained all sorts of wonderful goodies. Today I met the latest practitioner in my veritable pantheon (yeah, I stole that phrase from Iron Chef America) of medical personnel - the Infectious Diseases Specialist.
