OK, so anyone who thinks E-Check isn't a complete and total fucking waste of time, is nuts. Especially when it takes you over one hour forty-five minutes to get through it. The line I was in just didn't seem to want to move. I think we got the retarded techs or something. Then, when my car was up for the test, the equipment for the line I was in went into a sudden "calibration cycle", which meant they had to move my vehicle into a new line.
Then they had to question the shit out of me again, regarding the vehicle information, it then took them quite a while to test it, needless to say, I passed. Getting the title transferred was also a bitch, the guy and I had issues getting together for the whole ordeal. Once I finally got him to sign it, we didn't have time to get him to notarize it, so I got my half done, then had to... "have strings pulled" to get his half notarized, *ahem*
So I decided to get a personalized plate, since they cost about the same as regular plates. So once the E-Check was all done and I had the title transferred, I go in, tell em what I want, and they ask me, "What does it mean?". I respond, "It's a nickname", "OK". I fill out a lot of paperwork, and they ask again, "What does it mean?" I mentioned I already told them, they told me, that I MUST write on the application what it means, it's an Ohio State Law and they would automatically deny the plate, if I didn't write it down.... um.... does this confuse anyone else? I mean, wtf, I know they already screen for lewdness and cussing, but hell, they'd deny something obviously not any of the above because they want to know what it means? Heh... I was almost speechless.
After that whole ordeal, I go to pay with my ATM/Debit card, as they have a sign up saying they take it, find out I get a $2 fee, which I can deal with. But then I'm told I may only get money out in fifteen dollar increments. I put in how much I want, it prints up a receipt, they take it, and give me change. I ended up going short on it and paying the rest in cash, but I was taken aback. So much so in fact, I'm pretty sure my eyes popped open, jaw dropped a bit, I believe, and the little girl working there jumped back slightly. Heh, I was also quite hungry, so a good meal afterwards and I felt much better.
But at least it's all good and done with, plates will be mailed to me, they gave me a temp tag, so yeah... that's all, have fun kids!
