Revolt

Nov 03, 2004 11:52

It's very simple, really. in the 2004 election, the urban/industrial centers rallied behind Sen John Kerry, while the rural/agricultural areas supported Bush, with the end result being that an unqualified, early 20th century idealist (Bush) continued exercising control over the entire United States.

The irony here is that the dense urban areas are still predominately democratic, and still control the massive wealth & sources of wealth of the entire country. what should happen, what would happen in a perfect world, is that the urban areas would fucking revolt, ignore the goddamn bumpkins & have Kerry as their international & political Representative. consolidate all the urban areas into unified city-states, and (if necessary) have an armed conflict with their country neighbors.

with all the wealth, manufacturing, and academic areas in he grasp of a democratic leadership, the conservatives would be out funded, out gunned, and out numbered.

one of the biggest problems we face is a misrepresentation of our so-called "Unified Nation" in the international level, leading to unnecessary wars & ignorant domestic policies. the worst crime of all revolves around the apathy encouraged by almost all politicians - the idea that, apart from voting, there is nothing an outraged citizen can do.

there is always a second choice.
