Hi guys, this is my first time posting, and I'd like to bring up a concern of mine :)
I've been wondering around the 2ch forums, and with my (super) limited knowledge of Japanese, I've been able to pick out quite a few posts which state that RAD is a rip-off band. I'm sure we've all read comments about RAD being similar to BUMP OF CHICKEN, but the Japanese community is saying that RAD is a BUMP-rip off.
They have also said that RAD has copied melodies, lyrics, etc. from other bands.
Okay here are a few examples of what they've been saying:
1) EDP～飛んで火に入る夏の君～ sounds like Wannabe by Spice Girls.
2) Nazo Nazo sounds like BUMP's 彼女と星の椅子. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLv0Gf8uZJw
3) Apparently Fujiwara Mooto has said this line sometime before: "You made the world round so that nobody could cry in a corner" and yes, it's a line from Yuushinron. I don't know about the credibility of this, and others have also been saying that it wasn't Fujiwara who said that, it was someone else.
Well yeah I don't really know how true all this is, but I prefer not to believe it, haha. While I do not deny that some parts of RAD's songs do sound like BUMP's, I don't think it's a rip-off. So there's been BUMP vs RAD debates going about, and lots of anti-RAD fans are saying that it's a rip-off band. :(
So, what do you all think? DISCUSS! :)
On a brighter note, RAD is currently in the midst of recording a new song. Or songs, I'm not too sure.

A post by Watanabe, it says that the members of RADWIMPS are continuing their recording smoothly.
Apparently it's a great song. Well then again which isn't.
