With that thought in mind, he came across a lonely-looking girl at one of the ring-toss booths. He wasn't sure if she wanted to be alone, but he decided to walk over and watch her play the game. Maybe she'd talk to him on her own!

He followed her over to the balloon game and watched her again. After a few moments, he decided to play, too. He got the darts and after several highly effeminate throws, the balloons were left intact and the darts dangling in the wall, all far from any of the targeted balloons.
"W-What? Aww, I missed them all?

He perked up when the girl spoke. "Oh, hiii!" He was happy that she had been the one to say hello; maybe she wasn't as lonely as Bridget had thought she looked! He waved and skipped over to her. "My name is Bridget! I don't think I've seen you before."

During the silence of his pondering, his stomach let out a long growl. It wasn't until now that he realized that, during his scouring of the festival, he had completely forgotten to eat anything. Plus, running around like he was took a lot of energy.
He blushed. "U-uh, um. Maybe a snack first?"

"But we should try some anyways! That's part of the fun of being at a festival, right?" He sniffed again. "Besides, they do smell good..."

Excitedly, he bit half of one of the little balls...and immediately gagged. The taste didn't sit anywhere near as well with him as the smell did and, looking at the inside of one of the balls, his face blanched. I-i-it looked like an octopus! Gross!
Bridget flailed, tossed the skewer in a garbage can, and ordered the largest drink he could from the vendor and guzzled it down.

There was a little sign. "Tai...yaki. Taiyaki!"
He had no idea what it meant and Bridget's curiosity got the better of him. He asked the vendor if they were filled with octopuses and the man--with a strange look on his face--answered no and that they weren't filled with any sea food at all. Bridget bought two of the adorable little fishy snacks and, after nibbling on one, he learned that they were actually filled with a very sweet-tasting paste. He quickly finished one off.
"M-Mist! These are so gooood! So much better than the octopus things." He shoved the second one in her direction. "Try it!"
