Weddings and competition!

I hope everybody had an eggcellent (I had to) Easter.

I was in Nottingham for a wedding. There were a whole bunch of costume changes, shoe changes, aching feet and dancing. Oh and food. I haven't eaten so much in a long time! This isn't the best quality of picture (which is annoying) but I am in the yellow sari. From me to left you have a cousin, Sister, cousin.

The bride has asked us not to put any pictures online until she has (and she is now on her honeymoon) so when she does I will because she looked amazing. The whole point of saris are for them to be as revealing from the back as possible. Your front is covered by the sari material and the back isn't so the back of the blouse has all the sparkles and daring-ness. Her's was AMAZING. And I want it.
A day before the wedding there was also a henna party. Traditionally that is only done by the bride's family but because the groom's Ma really wanted one, we had a party too! They had mendhi artists drawing on various parts of our body. Here are ours.

And the colour that came out was surprisingly dark considering that I did wash my hands. This Friday there is another wedding so expect pictures of me in another sari! I am thinking of going green.
But I am home now.  And have cought up on most of my sleep. Which is an achievement let me tell you. But nevertheless, today has been a nice an easy day. Tried to raise more awareness for The Wisdom Trust, helped my Ma with shopping and stuff, because her back has completely gone and spoilt myself with chips from Maccy-Dees. And I know they are fat in a package but it's my one weakness. Well, one of many.

I have also started entering loads of competitions, especially on Twitter. But there are some excellent LJ competitions too. Have a look at this one here, hosted by the author Sonia Gensler. She is giving away a whole host of books! I want to win, like I always do. Hey, the force has recently been with me, so my fingers are Spock like as I type.

Live long and prosper!

xoxo
