so about a month ago, i was at a customer's house cleaning. i see this hurricane lamp in the middle of the dining room table. wow, it sure it dusty. so i pull it towards me so i can dust the inside and right as i do that i realize that i shouldn't have. eek. heavy metal base, nice maple table. needless to say i scratched the table top.
so it's been a stressful month. i left a note for the customers. no word at all until the day before we are supposed to go clean that house again. well, it turns out that it's a $4000 table. they were cool. keep cleaning the house, but it would be great if it could get fixed.
so we tried to fix it ourselves, but with the satin finish on the table that made it difficult.
anyway, we finally found a guy who would come out for free and look at it and give us an estimate. woo hoo, only $175!! yay!! i called a couple of other places and it sounded like it was going to be $750-1000.
the scratches are really shallow and it won't take much to fix them.
so that's good.
one less thing for me to stress about :)
