Woohoo!
I got to hold an owl for the first time today!!!!! I have always wanted to be one of those persons giving instructions with an owl on their arm. Today I finally got to be that person! It was amazing! To have such a beautiful creature sitting on your hand and looking at you (and hissing/pooping/flapping at you too). Needless to say, I was very excited.
Also got my studio figured out and all the equipment working. Played with the camera and zoomed in really close on my face. It was much fun.
Today I give my first "presentation", which is really just reading a book to some kids and then presenting them wtih an animal that goes along with the book. I picked a book on hissing roaches, so I will show them some Madigascar Hissing Cockroaches. No one has done roaches yet for story time, so that's why I picked them.
Also will be presenting some other programs next week (and will have my boss watching me...yikes!) and getting things ready to start scheduling my Distance Learning (DL) programs. DL programs are scheduled two weeks ahead of time, so even when I start scheduling programs, I still will have two weeks to get everything in order.
Job is going well, just super tired. I went in to take a half hour nap around 8pm last night and my nap lasted until I got up to get ready for work this morning. I have to work tomorrow two for three hours, so I get to leave a bit early today. Which is good because I really haven't seen much of Chris lately.
Anyways, gotta get ready for work and playing with roaches!
