Hello Garden City!

Well, the move went smoothly.  No major incidents to report.  Matt and I rode together on the way to GC and talked the whole time.  Topics of conversation ranged from anime to cereal to girlfriends.  It was a great time.   We unloaded Saturday evening and Matt spent the night with us while Chris's parents stayed at a hotel.  As we were unloading, there was a gorgeous sunset and a beautiful rainbow in the sky.  I don't think God could have made it anymore obvious that we were meant to be here.  They both left Sunday morning and Chris and I began the process of unpacking.

Speaking of unpacking, we are mostly done with it.  There are a few extra boxes left in the garage that we are going through, but most everything else is done.  We got cable and internet yesterday, which was wonderful.  Our duplex is wonderful and located outside of the city in a nice quiet country setting.  Our duplex is connected only by our neighbor's garage and our guest bedroom so we don't hear them and we can be loud and not disturb them either.  God was once again looking out for us by giving us such a great place to live when we never saw it before.

Yesterday (Monday) I attended the Docent (zoo educational volunteers) training that has been going on every monday for several weeks.  Today was my first official day of work.  I spent most of it doing paperwork and getting organized.  I have keys to the building and to the zoo gates.  I have my own office with a window, new computer, name plate, and business cards.  I also have chinchilla's that run around in my office in big hamster balls.  I give my first program on Friday, which is actually pretty simple.  I read a story to some younger children and then present an animal that goes along with the story.

The health insurance package is amazing.  Chris and I are both covered and his 200$-a-month inhalers we have not been able to afford will now cost 10$ with the insurance.  Wow.

So we are settling in and I am busy with my new job.  I'm tired and don't feel well, but once things start to become routine, I'm sure we will be able to start enjoying ourselves.

Thanks for all the prayers, God is definately looking out for us.  Now I am gonna enjoy our cable and watch some pointless reality shows.  Night!
