Hang manly, kingly, or godly -- Thor was a cuddler. Always had been. He was a cuddler, and unabashed; proud and greedy in his demand for snuggles. After all, who would not wish to cozy up to him if given half the chance ( ... )

Natasha had wanted a quiet night in so she had suggested they watch a movie on the couch. It was something so domestic and she rarely indulged in it but she couldn't think of a better person to do so with than Thor. That and she enjoyed seeing him in nothing but those red pajama pants he so liked ( ... )

Dinner was lovely and dancing was just quite a lot of fun and they'd ended up doing the latter until the club was closing in the wee hours of the morning. Thus now they'd made their way back home and ended up, once again, on Elani's rather comfortable couch. There had been a reason but, well, Elani had drank just a little too much to remember what the reason was and curling up around Zoe and alternately giggling about what a fun night it had been interspersed with snippets of various ballads seemed like a much better idea.

It's something like four am., and she probably should get up and let Elani go to bed, because while her schedule consists - largely, at least - of working nights and sleeping the day away, Elani's doesn't, and not many people want sandwiches at midnight.

Well, maybe they do, but they accept that they're probably not going to get them.

Still, Zoe doesn't move from the couch. She still snuggles up against Elani, because it would be rude, really, to leave their duet of "I Want It That Way" before it reaches its giggly conclusion.

Yes, that's totally it. And she's absolutely not yawning in between verses.

And maybe the song trails off in a combination of giggles and yawning and Elani, cozy and happy as she is with Zoe here, does have to actually go to bed.

"D'you want to go to bed? I mean. Real bed. With sleep. And stuff. But not stuff. Because I need sleep. Got work. And y'don't have to go upstairs. Could stay here. So bed. Yes. Right?

....gonna shut up now."

And bury her face in Zoe's shoulder.

Tesla, for no good reason! #1. brightasbrass July 19 2012, 23:07:01 UTC
It's getting light outside-- five in the morning and pale, grey light is piercing the London smog. It's all very pretty. But, he's sure, not as pretty as the night sky is to Lady Urania Apollonides... and even Respectable Young Ladies with Very Specific Interests need their sleep. He only lets her work herself so hard all night because he forgets to tut.

And she looks so happy while conducting her research.

"Everything's turned off, ma'am?" he asks absently as the brush floats through her hair again, by now so well gone-over that it's far glossier than hair needs to be for someone turning in for the morning night. And if unchaperoned butlering in a distinguished young lady's bedchambers is Improper? Well, they've been doing this for years. Isaac's fairly resigned to the fact that there will be no Funny Business.

Do we ever need a good reason for Tesla? starscrownher July 19 2012, 23:58:04 UTC
Urania yawns from her place in the chair beside her vanity. It always feels so lovely when Isaac does this that there have been times when she's fallen asleep here and had to be carried to bed.

She has no idea whether this is deliberate or no.

"Every last thing, Isaac. The House shan't come down around our ears. Or if it does, it won't be our fault, and you may tell Lord Julien so."

Tesla is its own good reason. brightasbrass July 20 2012, 16:13:57 UTC
He combs his fingers through her by now absolutely knotless hair, which slips between them without any trouble whatsoever.

"Given we can find him," he says lightly. "Living in the attic, I don't doubt we're likely to come out of it best, ma'am."
