This took me thirty seconds to research.
BP's Shaky Financial Condition Spurs Talk of U.S. TakeoverQuoting out of order:
"'We have a national emergency on our hands,' Robert Reich, President Bill Clinton's labor secretary, wrote on his website Monday. 'No president would allow a nuclear reactor owned by a private for-profit company to melt down in the United States while remaining under the direct control of that company. The meltdown in the Gulf is the environmental equivalent.'
Reich said a federal takeover of BP is the only way to provide transparency, guarantee competency and ensure Obama is in charge."
Two points of note right off the bat:
1) Reich isn't just "Bill Clinton's Labor Secretary," as Fox News sloppily reported. Far more important, he
was selected by President-elect Barack Obama to be a member of the President-elect's economic transition advisory board. 2) Obama hmself has said he has been in charge since day one, and that BP does nothing without his say so. That was last Thursday or Friday. So where exactly is the logic of Reich's argument, if solving the spill is his goal? Further, did he just say "transparency" in a favorable way toward this White House? Please consider the depth of deceit for that to be said with a straight face at this point.
He goes on. Please take note as you read this the method the progressives/Liberals/Democrats have taken to achieve their goals. "Slippery slope" isn't a fallacy when dealing with them. It is their primary strategy.
"'If the government can take over giant global insurer AIG and the auto giant General Motors and replace their CEOs in order to keep them financially solvent, it should be able to put BP's North American operations into temporary receivership in order to stop one of the worst environmental disasters in U.S. history,' he wrote."
You see? Now that you, America, are used to the government takeover of A, B & C, it only makes sense in the face of "you never want to let a good crisis go to waste" to take over D through M. And then later through P. And finally Z. But don't you call it communism or fascism. Oh no.
Back to the article. Who just happens to be saying what Reich is saying?
"A grassroots campaign called Seize BP is protesting in more than 50 cities from Thursday through Saturday."
Excellent not at all lazy journalism again, Fox News. This is what happens when you work with the AP.
Let's see what we are now calling "Grass roots."
Seize BP Right on the front page: "A campaign of the ANSWER Coalition" Who is that, you ask? Discoverthenetworks:
INTERNATIONAL ANSWER (IA) "Anti-war front group for the Marxist-Leninist Workers World Party"
"International ANSWER (an acronym for "Act Now to Stop War and End Racism") is run by Ramsey Clark's International Action Center, which is staffed by members of the Marxist-Leninist Workers World Party (WWP). ANSWER views the United States as a racist, imperialist, sexist, homophobic nation and the world's chief violator of human rights -- guilty of unspeakable atrocities, past and present, foreign and domestic.
Founded on September 14, 2001 (three days after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon), ANSWER held its initial mass demonstrations fifteen days thereafter"
Wikipedia, hardly an anti-Liberal site:
A.N.S.W.E.R. "ANSWER characterizes itself as anti-imperialist, and its steering committee consists of socialists, civil rights advocates, and left-wing or progressive organizations from the Muslim, Arab, Palestinian, Filipino, Haitian, and Latin American communities. ANSWER was formed at the initiative of Ramsey Clark and the International Action Center; many of ANSWER's leaders were members of Workers World Party at the time of ANSWER's founding, and are current members of the Party for Socialism and Liberation.[3]" Scroll down to member organizations for a who's who of scumbags and Israel haters.
So yet again we have a high up with the Obama regime, on the economic transition advisory board, who "just happens" to think in lockstep with a global Marxist group. Do you want Marxists dealing with the decisions of our economy, or taking over corporations and industries? If anyone else does, don't you think the least they can do is be honest about that?
And yet again we have a "grassroots" protest made up of worldwide Marxists. What is grass roots about mobilized global Marxists?!?
Please wake up, folks. Please wake your neighbors and family. It isn't even subtle anymore.
