Dennis Miller on the oil spill

Jun 03, 2010 14:24

Paraphrased, heard on the radio this morning.

"I blame the environmentalists for the oil spill. It's because of them we have to be 50 miles out and a mile deep. If we could drill on land or in shallow water and there's a spill you could send out a kid to turn off the spigot, then grab some brawny paper towels and get it cleaned up."

He isn't wrong.

Yes, obviously BP chose to take the job and the risks along with it. It is their responsibility. But environmentalists, EVERY Liberal supporter, and most especially Obama and his regime deserve as much blame for making oil so hard to get and for inaction or prevention in the face of emergency cleanup.
