I keep seeing ads for this entirely unappealing looking film. Yep this movie is horribly predictable. My sister said, "Looks like a lotta scenery chewing!" She can sum things up so well. :)

If you're going to make a war film you have to appeal to OMGWHODATHUNKIT the MILITARY. Anti war people don't like war films, even when they stroke their sensibilities. Portraying soldiers as humans with emotions like regret isn't part of their agenda so it doesn't work ( ... )

I completely agree with this, and about another bullshit Hollywood movie about the evils of war (or, more specifically, "Bush's Iraq War").

I'm a huge fan of war movies. Band of Brothers was great, and I'm glad they're making another series about the Pacific.

There's a movie being made for the book Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell, and one for No True Glory by Bing West. I've read both these books, I hope the people making these movies don't fuck them up with a bunch of Liberal bullshit.

Oh, and there's The Hurt Locker.

I know I've recommended this to you before, I'd like to know what you think about it. Should be on DVD by now.
