May the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor
Oddly enough, all I remember about last year is that this is more or less what I wanted to do (because I didn't own the replica necklace then...) and didn't.
I borrowed my sister's athletic jacket that has a similar color design to the Catching Fire arena outfit and wore a black skirt and turtleneck. I own versions of the mockingjay pin as a pin and a necklace--and I could only find the necklace so that was what I wore.
I sort of feel like my test run at faking bangs (tiny braids tucked behind the ears and fluffed backwards to loose the braid look) worked better... I made a knot at the base of the side braid and that was the hairstyle. (If I'd been doing this on someone else I could have french braided it properly and hid the extra length somewhere else. *sigh!*)
