I totally feel you though; I've been a pushover like, my whole life; and I've been told so even by my close friends.... ive been a doormat for quite some time. And I too, recently this year decided to stand up for myself. I always used to just let it go; much like you said; to avoid confrontation. But i finally got sick of it and started standing up for myself. and ya know what sucks? Now that I start standing up for myself; I'm called a selfish bitch and am given hella shit for it. what the fuck is that? but fuck 'em cuz I'm tired of putting everyone else before ME, cuz fuck that! but anyway I just wanted to let you know that I know what you mean, I swear like 98% of what you said was hella true for me. I have learned that I put waaaaaay too much good faith into people; and even put their well-being above my own; and even my closest friends let me down. I'm starting to learn that you HAVE to be selfish in the world to survive. and that fucking sucks. But that's how life goes, I suppose.
aaaaaand it's been great seeing you recently. I finish up school next week and we shoukd hang out again! I'm even down to make a trip out to modesto? or lets go camping? lets do something! ill talk to you soon <3333
