Word counts

I admire you for setting those kinds of goals and sticking with them - I physically can't write if I'm not inspired/have writer's block...and have to wait for the mood to strike. AND, if I was setting word-count goals for myself, writing would become work and I'd lose interest REAL fast. As it is, I've managed somewhere in the area of 100,000 words (would have to ask Amber to be sure) in just under 4 months, so am content with my progress.

Does it really work...reading about HOW to write? I still haven't gotten around to reading the first few parts of the snowflake method...seems a lot like going back to school, and the last time I did that, I ended up with a degree in anthropology...which I'm NOT using.... Truly, all snark aside, do you notice a huge difference in what you crank out after reading up on methodology?

You've got sooo much more discipline and determination than I do! :D

I used to say the same; that I COULDN'T write unless the mood struck. Which it would invariably do while at work, or somewhere I had no access to a computer, or ... anyway. It became an excuse to not even try ( ... )
