The forest north of the village stretches to the mountain ridge bordering the sea. But before the narrow mountain pass to the sea, before the end of the forest can quite be seen, there is a melon field. The land is a little hilly here, and the forest around it is uneven, but the field itself is perfectly leveled and square. Although interest in the

"Hmmm," She murmured. "No bumps or bruises. It'd be perfect to make melon bread with."

He stood around rainbow melon #2 alongside Olette, curiously staring at the color. "I don't think they're supposed to look like that." He pointed down to the melon before leaning down to pick it up and feel if it was really a melon or something else...he wouldn't have been surprised if they were plastic.

Watching him pick it up, she grinned. "I don't think so either, but you get used to this place after a while. Every town has its oddities... and Memento's weird food, apparently, is a rainbow-colored watermelon."

He took a good look at the melon before lifting one hand. "Let's see if we can open it!" He'd never tried only making one part of his body intangible, but it was worth a shot. He plunged an intangible arm throw the skin of the melon.

"Well, I don't think you'd want this in your melon bread," he joked, gesturing to his hand.

She couldn't help laughing once she saw the juice. "Yeah, probably," She admitted. "I guess special melons won't make it taste better."
Olette looked over at the other watermelons nearby and smiled. "Mm... this kinda reminds me of summer back home. We used to go to the beach, and my friend Hayner would whack a watermelon into oblivion blindfolded. Well, that was once he found the watermelon."

"He hit it blindfolded? Did he ever break the watermelon, or did he just hit around it?" he joked. Danny knew he certainly wouldn't be able to break a watermelon blindfolded. Or at least, that's what he thought.

Walking over to the green ones, she kneeled beside the first one and held it up. "It feels normal," She said, grinning. "I think it'd be perfect for bread."
"He did both, really," Olette confessed. "But Hayner was pretty strong when he decided that he wanted to be. We didn't get many watermelons on the beach since they were overpriced. We normally stuck with pretzels or ramen."

"We didn't really have a beach in Amity Park. But I don't think the watermelons were overpriced." Not that he could remember, anyway.
"But pretzels are always good too!"

Standing up, she looked over towards the exit. "Twilight Town didn't have a beach, either, but we could go to one by train. Even though the fare's discounted since we're students, it was still a lot. We'd have to get part time jobs to pay for it all."
She giggled. "Yeah, pretzels are great. I never did figure out to make them, though."

"Heh, Amity Park wasn't really all that close to anything. The closest thing we had was a lake, and you had to drive a bit to get there. It was sorta like a city, so we usually just walked most of the time." He couldn't remember any of his friends, though, so 'we' was really just referring to 'him.'
"Figure out how to make the big kind, or the tiny kind you find in the packages?" Danny was fond of both, and he could understand how it would be hard to make them.
