You know, I was in the same spot a year ago that you're in now. I left Evansville knowing I'd never go back to that life. Some parts of it I miss. Other parts not so much. To be truthful I had a lot of bitterness towards that theater department, almost like I never really got my fair shot. Still, I don't regret much. I used to think that I forced myself to miss out on so much by not being a "party guy", but all things considered, that's just not me. I remember that one time when we went to see a movie and after just talked. I had more fun doing that then at any party. It's silly I realize, but you were one of my favorite people in that town. Your smile could always brighten a room. I suppose I regret never telling you that in person.
Now, a year later I think back. I've found that the people that you'll really miss you keep in touch with in some way or another. Otherwise you take your experiences with you and keep moving forward. I was in a community play a few months ago which was a blast. Still, that school made me realize that theater will always be a passion of mine, but not a profession.
Anyway, I hope all is well with you in Florida. Good to hear from you, even in livejournal form. Have a good one, Mar.
