Give Us the Strength
Just came back from hospital. Things have taken a turn for the worst. Yesterday, Grandma had to go back into Intensive Care Unit when she developed a breathing problem from a fungal infection in her lungs. It's pretty serious, she's on respirator machine now. I have never seen her like this. Today wasn't any much better, they don't think the fungus is responding to the new medicine we're giving. Tonight will be very critical, anything could happen. I hope not though, I really hope not.
In just three days, on May 12th, it will be her birthday. Mom always told me that each year you are like a battery, when it's closer to your b'day, you run out of energy, but on your b'day, you recharge again. If she makes it to her birthday, hopefully hopefully this energy will be recharged again to prolong her life.
We're going back to the hospital again. We're praying so hard, so very very hard.
Dear God,
Please give my family and I the strength and courage to brave this new day. Give us the will to be strong, to pull through together, to be there for our loved ones, to be there for Grandma when she needs us the most. Please help us be here for one another. Please give us your guidance and your hope and your faith, because you know how much we need it now, so very very much. Give us your love and your forgiveness as you have given us in our hours of darkness.
Please help her, help us all.
