My Unproductivity and Yet More Fics to Rec!!!

I'm back again, and no, my laptop is not yet fixed and I'm using Mom's crummy old desktop... So, that unfortunately means that I couldn't get much writing done :( Another interesting thing is that apparently my laptop had over 40 viruses!!! I'm surprised how I got them since I never downloaded any music of films and never opened any weird attachments. But the computer tech guys told me that apparently you can get viruses by just going to a website which may be infected and it travels through the internet straight to your hard drive!!! So yeah... just keep your eye out on that and scan your computer often for viruses!
On the other hand, what I have been doing? Um...been busy with my play rehearsals, had a few job interview... the same RL bore :P I did, however, on the weekend, manage to sort out all the dhr_valentine fics into the Memories sections according to their Ratings, so hopefully this will make it more accessible and easier to search through fics. 1. Get Out Of My Plaster by voleuse
Summary: He's the stupid jerk I'm obsessed with. NC-17. D/Hr.
Ra Says: The author continues her short, cogent, fragmented and staccato-ish yet poetic writing style as she did in "Plato's Sex Life". She says a lot within a few words. But her imageries and settings of their sex scenes are beautiful and the tension when they are together is so there.
2. On the Subject of Evil Plans and the Overtaking of the World by lalejandra
Summary:
"Now, on to my evil plan to rule the world -- " Malfoy took another sip of his tea, and another bite of biscuit, and leaned forward.
Hermione furrowed her brow. "Are you taking the piss?" she asked bluntly.
"As though I would do something so vulgar and common." Malfoy plucked another shortbread from the dish. "I only wanted you to know that I have one." R-rated. D/Hr.
Ra Says: Brilliant, snarky, witty. This was lalejandra's response she wrote for the dhr_valentine, and in which I only got around to reading thoroughly this time around. The author includes a lot of philosophical bantering - think Machiavellian, Virgil and so much more - foreign languages, literature references -and makes it all sound so simple! It is rare to find a fic where both Draco and Hermione are written truly as intellectual equivalents and an in-control!Hermione for a change. Oh, and their scenes together are pretty intense as well!
3. Vengeance, Blood For Blood and Neglect by Lalejandra
Summary: A three-part trilogy written also by Lalejandra. Draco/Hermione & others. incest, non-con, bondage. NC-17.
“Don’t bite my cock,” he said, and she scraped her teeth over his trousers, unbuttoned them with one hand, and took him into her throat the way she had in the showers, all in one go, without even taking a breath first. Her fingernails scraped his arse and thighs as she drew his trousers down, and then dug into his stomach. When she came up for air, their eyes met. Her mouth was bloody, her eyes sparking.
Ra Says: *HAWT* ...Need I say more?!? Oh, alright, in light of something more informative, a while back I posted at the Draco/Hermione yahoo group that D/Hr fics were either extremely dark (Draco is sadistic, cruel, rapist, etc.) or either very fluffy, sappy, sweet, romantic ...and I've yet to find one which includes both interpretation of Draco (that's why I wrote a fic myself with that theme, but that's another story :)... Anyhow, Alejandra includes both Draco successfully here as well in a sense... It starts out with a dominant!Hermione, yet they clearly become equals in their heated struggle shagging with one another ...and yet the fic succeeds in leaving you with a cute little ending that makes you all tingly and warm inside. Really! :p
4. Counting to None by Nopejr
Note: No summary was provided. PG-13 or R-rated. D/Hr.
Ra Says: Read it, period. If you are a true Draco/Hermione reader, this hard-to-find fic is not to be missed. Truly truly brilliant and written by a truly gifted writer. She succeeds in what I can only dream of. The narrative style is unusual, there are two stories and time-lines juxtaposing each other, one moves forward, the other moves backwards, and hence the appropriate title "Counting to None" - where both in the end leads to a new beginning of them being together. The story may require a re-reading and is confusing at times, but it is a happy ending... and the confusion of the flashback interspersed makes this fic dream-like and almost magical. I can't recommend this fic anymore.
