looks like positivity is permanently on hiatus...
sooooooooooooo, this past saturday shann went to a birthday party at a public place....sorta like the low rent local version of chuck e. cheese...apparently she had a blast (her dad took her while I stayed home with kait, who-no-longer-naps-but-still-bloody-well-needs-to) and she came home with the runny nose that showed up later that night...by sunday morning she was a wreck...no school monday or wednesday (we do alternate full days here...very stupid, imo, but what can you do?) and yesterday she was just well enough to be a real pain in the ass...fun n games....and of course her sweet little fish killing sister*, kait, is just now getting sick...so far she's at the runny nose stage, with the low grade fever....still well enough to NOT wear her clothes even though I have the furnace set at about 16C** (I have no idea what that is in F, but "room temperature" here is 20C)
*what do I mean by "fish killer?" two weeks ago while she was supposedly "napping" she pushed her toddler bed over to my dresser, climbed up, got the full can of fish food off of the TOP shelf and dumped the ENTIRE CONTENTS into the tank....then she decided to clean the tank by dumping water out with one of my decorative jars. half the fish died and there were no naps for kait...until sunday, when I started trying again...as the whole not-napping-thing just doesn't sit well with either her nor myself...and all was well UNTIL WEDNESDAY....when she did the same fucking thing again. gawd...yesterday the rest of the fucking fish kicked it. all that's left is the cleaner fish.
right now her only saving grace is that she's using the TOILET with great regularity...and she's cuter than hell...ok...she has two saving graces...but I still wish she would nap AND wear some damned clothes.
**why is the furnace set at 16C? because I got my fucking gas bill yesterday. how much was my fucking gas bill? THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY FUCKING FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS. ASS MUNCHERS. this is for ONE MONTH...not the last six months (last month was about 248 bucks). I do not use an excessive amount of gas...I am very conservative with ALL utility usage...we just had a BRAND NEW FURNACE installed last february (that was $2600 we didn't have AND THAT was A DEAL...we knew someone who knew someone...)and there is nothing wrong with the meter...fuckers.
but on the bright side, I just got email notification that a package of crap I sent on the 30th of DECEMBER to the states FINALLY got there. I hate the postal service.
hate hate...anger anger...fucking fuck fuck...where's my beer? where's my chocolate? why doesn't that damned kid have clothes on yet? why isn't she sleeping? who's in charge here?
