The iPod was never "lost" -- it just wasn't where I thought it was. I found it when I cleaned out the bag of tins(for the fourth time) that we had thought of using to make ice cream. I spent the rest of camp having to admit I was an idiot, I'd made a big announcement that I'd lost it and offered a reward. Aside from that and having to miss the concert and the cold it was a really good camp.
My Cubs never fail to amaze me. They were so good the whole weekend. There were no tears about how cold they were (and a couple of times they must have been pretty damn cold), there were no complaints about the food, no homesickness, no fights... if the heaters at the Leader's end of the cabooses had been working it would have been a pretty perfect weekend.
In less than two weeks I go back on my own for Wilderness First Aid and I'm *so* excited.
I miss my Cubs terribly and there are new ones arriving that I've never met. I'm really sad that they've done away with the two elements I added this year but I'm hoping my team brings them back once they're on their own.
