This group of girls are all deaf, and they advocate the rights of people with disabilities. They've named themselves Guan Yin, meaning goddess of mercy. It literally means, "godess who hears those who are crying." That's so beautiful, considering that they're all deaf for one, and that they are activists for people with disabilities ( Read more... )

In ancient Chinese mythology, hell isn't just a place with burning fire. It's really creative and gory, with specific hells and tortures for certain sins. For example, if you bully animals, you go to a hell where you are stampeded upon by oxen. If you gossiped, you go to a hell where they rip your tongue out.
