Yes, someday we will be able to do immediate full-body internal scans like Star Trek. It'll be fascinating to watch this live-motion displays. Fun!

Yeah, it does kind of look that way. I don't know what the external white dot is. It fades in and out of the photos.

And just to get the comment into a google search in case someone else wonders... yes, the MRI neck scan has some side effects on me. The brain scan was fun and had no effect, but the neck scan was different. All day long, I've had occasional flashes of hot/tingly/sore at various places along my spine but mostly up top where the scan was focused. These flashes are similar to the hotness during the scan but more brief.

On the way back from Bear Coffee tonight, I stopped at Walmart to buy some Nyquil. I want something to dull these weird twinges and put me to sleep. I hope to be sound asleep 30 minutes from now and then not wake up until dawn. :)
