Title: Finally Admitted
Fandom: Deadliest Catch
Rating: G
Warnings: The only thing I can think of is the fact that it's slash... and some language.
Pairing: Edgar/Jake A.
Disclaimer: None of this is real, it is just a work of fiction and doesn't portray anything that has happened in real life.
Summary: July 21, 2009 episode. Edgar's in Denial!
A/N: Thanks to mona_lisa for the Beta!

Edgar didn't miss Jake. He didn't. And even if he did miss Jake, it was only because now instead of a five man crew, they had a four man crew and everything took longer and was harder when they were a man down. His job would be easier if the younger deckhand was there, but that was the only reason why Edgar wanted Jake here. Not because he missed seeing Jake on deck. Jake's family needed him, and Edgar could get through one last trip without Jake. He had been fine before Jake started on the Northwestern, so he could function without him for a few days.

The weather just got worse, making it harder to pull pots and count crab. To make matters worse, the crabs they were pulling up were mostly females and juveniles. During the long grind Edgar's mind would subconsciously go to thoughts of Jake. A stolen kiss away from the cameras, a hug in front of the cameras... fine, Edgar missed Jake, he just didn't want to admit it. He was a crab fisherman, he didn't miss his lover. He didn't know how. He just simply wanted Jake to be here to make his life easier. Edgar let out a sigh, and finally said what he needed to say, "I hate to be the first to say it but, I miss you Jake."

Okay, this isn't my best piece, I'm better using Jake's thought process. >.
