He knew they would never be accepted in Lima. He hated taking Kurt away from his father and he hated leaving his mother and sister but after what had happened, they couldn’t stay. So, with a promise to write every week, call every day, and visit once a month, he helped Kurt into the car and they started for Indiana. He looked over to see Kurt sleeping, his casted arm resting on his lap and his wrapped foot sitting on the dashboard. He reached over and ran his hand over Kurt’s bruised cheek, he’d never let Kurt be hurt again.
