Title: Can't Go Through It Again

Summary: written for the glee_angst_meme for the prompt: Puck gets hurt after the school finds out that he dating Kurt
Stay down and they’ll eventually grow tired of it and leave. At least, that was the plan once Puck realized that there was no way he could take on five guys at a time. Then instead of it stopping, it got worse and all he could do was raise his arms to cover his head. One of them kicked his arms repeatedly, another kicked the back of his knees, and two of them took turns kicking his stomach while the final one kicked his back. It hurt but he refused to shed a tear or say anything because then they would laugh and just kick harder.
After awhile it all stopped, and he wanted to lift his head but he didn’t have the strength to do so. Then he felt a hot breath on his ear. “That’s what you get for dating Hummel, queer.”
Puck blacked out after that, and when he woke up all he could see was a bright white light. He would have thought himself dead if not for the soothing voice next to him. “Noah?”
He attempted to turn his head but was met with a sharp pain. “Kurt?”
“You’re awake.” Kurt’s voice was raspy which meant he had been crying.
“What happened?”
“A few jerks beat you up.”
“It’s what I get for dating a queer like you.” He didn’t mean the words but he couldn’t deal with this pain again, he just couldn’t.
“What?” He could hear Kurt’s voice crack and it hurt, more then all the bruises he was sure he had but he couldn’t go through this again.
“I’m sorry but I want you to leave.” He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, which wasn’t a good idea because his chest hurt. “For good.”
“Noah, we can-“
Puck cut him off. “Just get out, I’m too tired to fight.”
Puck heard Kurt walk away but he didn’t slam the door and for the first time in a long time, Puck cried. He knew it wasn’t from the pain of the fight but from his heart breaking.
