Summary: Jude misses Robert

Jude watched the fireworks explode in the sky. Everything was perfect. His children were running around with sparklers and laughing. They were happy, which in turn made Jude happy. That was until his mind started to wander and he found himself thinking about moments stolen between takes or nights spent cuddled together after a long day of work.
With a sigh Jude picks up his phone and debates about calling Robert but the thought is stopped as soon as he feel the phone vibrate. Jude feels himself smile when he sees the name on the caller id. He quickly hits the call button and moves the phone to his ear. “I was just thinking about you.”
Jude could hear Robert laugh on the other end of the phone. “Why hello to you to.”
Jude blushes. He had forgotten what Robert’s voice did to him. “I miss you.” The words were out before Jude could think better of them.
Robert’s quite for a moment and Jude thinks he might have screwed this thing, whatever it is, up. “Robert, I-“
“Turn around.” Robert says interrupting Jude’s apology.
Jude looks down at his phone thinking that he didn’t hear Robert right. “What?”
“Turn around.” Robert repeats and Jude swears he can hear Robert smiling.
“Fine, but I don’t see why I need-“ Jude stops midsentence when he see Robert leaning against the door.
Jude watched as Robert pushes himself away from the door. “Are you just going to stand there or do I at least get a hug?”
Jude started walking towards Robert, who now had his arms out, as if he was waiting for Jude to run into them. Which was something Jude wasn’t going to do, no matter how much he wanted to.
Jude took the final few steps and wrapped his arms around Robert, pulling the other actor as close to him as possible. Jude felt his body shake when Robert laughed. “I missed you too but that doesn’t mean you can suffocate me.”
Jude smiled as he pulled away far enough so that he could rest his forehead against Robert’s. They just stood their, staring at each other for a few seconds before Robert closed the distance between them. Jude was slowly losing himself in the kiss but before he was completely lost he thought one thing, now everything really was perfect.
