Author's Note: I wrote this because one of my best friends inspired it. I'm sorry if the grammar is off or something like that, I'm in a weird state of mind right now.

Dean was sick of the angel telling him how important and special he was, it didn't help, it just made him feel worse. Dean was just waiting for the angel to realize how worthless he really was, and leave him. Dean didn't want that to happen, but his track record was letting people down, and then having those people out of his life for good. The only exception to that rule was Sam, but that was because Sam was his flesh and blood. Although, Sam had already left Dean when he decided to go to college instead of becoming a hunter. So, everyone left, everyone eventually found out that Dean was truly worthless, and soon the angel would found out too.

-------------------------------

"You are not worthless, Dean Winchester, you are chosen." The conversation started out the same way they all did.

"I'm only chosen because I screwed up in the first place." Dean placed his head back down on his pillow.

Castiel sighed, "You had no choice, you had to submit."

"I had a choice Cas. I gave in, I wanted the pain to stop, screw the rest of the world." Dean placed a hand over his eyes, he was sick of having the same damn conversation with the angel every night.

Castiel sat on the bed next to Dean's lying form. "You-"

"Cas, stop telling me it wasn't my fault. It was, I screwed everything up, just like I always do." Dean interrupted Castiel, like he always did. At this point, it was like they were stuck on repeat, never being allowed to go onto the next song.

"You did not do anything wrong." Castiel placed a comforting hand on Dean's shoulder. Dean moved away from the contact.

"Just leave me alone Cas, I don't want one of your speeches right now." Dean rolled onto his side, back facing the angel. Please don't leave me. Dean thought, not matching what he told the angel. Dean didn't want Castiel to leave him. He just wanted the angel to understand that he was damaged, that he had screwed up, and nothing the angel could say would make him feel better.

"I will never leave you." Castiel placed his hand on Dean's shoulder again, not moving it when Dean tried to shrug out of it. "I will never leave you until you realize you are not damaged."

Dean placed his hand on top of Castiel's, and pulled it off his shoulder. "And once I realize I'm not damaged?"

Castiel used his free hand to force Dean to lie on his back with his head facing him, "Once you realized you are not damaged, I will fight by your side, till the very end."

Dean wasn't expecting that answer. "Why?" The question was out before he could stop himself.

Castiel smiled, "Because as humans say, 'That is what friends are for.'"
