A good present in the morning.
I swear I'm not just posting on our birthdays. Really.
I got up this morning to file my unemployment claim and check my Fairwoods e-mails, and found a number of good wishes from Facebook. Following a few of the links back, I discovered this. IMDB swears it's real, but not releasing until December, and I believe this to be the official teaser, despite being surrounded by fan trailers using many of the same shots.
For reasons well beyond the outstanding (well, so far) production values, this is the single most awesome thing I have seen in years. Most. Awesome. I swear it's like a few producers in Japan were blown away by the reboot of Battlestar Galactica and said, "You know what we should do..." I can only spend the next eighteen months (or however long it takes to get to the States) praying that this is not, in fact, footage of a treasured part of my childhood in a pit somewhere rubbing lotion on its skin.
