I know, I am sorry. I can never remember what I have mentioned on here so I don't mention anything, lol.
Ally is now running around all over the place these days. If she is tired she will "drunk walk" (aka stumble around a lot and fall over at the slightest breeze, lol), but in general she has gotten very good at it. She wants to walk around everywhere now. Thankfully she is faster than she used to be, because that could get tedious, hehe. She doesn't like to hold our hands anymore now when she is walking, so we need to get her used to her elephant backpack thing soon (the problem is that she doesn't realize that if she goes to the end of the tether and tries to keep going she will get jerked backwards).
We have 5 teeth...the 6th one is so close, and has been for weeks, but just won't pop through. Tis causing no shortage of fussiness and random times.
Sleep is still going mostly well, although she has learned independence and so fights it a bit more now. Still not fussing though, so we still don't ever have to intervene in any way. Naps are a struggle though, as she never wants to take them.
Last night was the most terrifying thing ever. She was eating a banana, and all of a sudden made this face like she was crying but no sound was coming out, and we realized she was *actually* choking. So I started (unhelpfully) yelling "Paul, Heimlich!" while he picked her up. He technically did the thing for when they are under a year old, but his arms and hands are big enough that it worked just fine, and she immediately spit out the (very small) piece of banana she was choking on. Don't think there was anything we could have done to prevent that, since the bit was actually very tiny, and she has eaten bananas many times. We were all (including her) fairly traumatized after that, so she didn't finish dinner, we just cuddled her some then put her to bed. She ate breakfast just fine this morning though, so I don't think she remembers it, thankfully. (I don't swallow pills to this day because I choked on some cheese when I was young).
Hard to believe how big she is getting. She is over an inch taller than when she was 1, as I have that marked on her wall. Most of her 18mo stuff fits well, although we do have one pair of pants that we had to get in 24mo. Cloth diapers make for big butts, lol. We bought a 24mo fleece pj thingy the other day, and I am shocked by how *huge* it looks. I don't think she will fit in that ever, but I am sure she will.
I agree w/ Christine, I would love to do a hangout sometime, see how big the kiddos are getting.
