mini break
i got back from edmonton on wednesday night and after a very short two-day work week i'm happy to be relaxing today! chris and i were able to spend six days together, which is the longest visit we've had in ages! we got quite a bit done on the house, all the doors upstairs are installed and ready to be painted and the last few light fixtures are also in place.
AO came down from Grande Prairie for a visit and some shopping - it was so nice to see her. even though we talk everyday, i haven't actually seen her for over a year, let alone had the luxury of spending an entire day together.
i took chris out for a fancy steak birthday dinner on saturday night - i wish i'd gotten our server to take a photo of us! and we went to the alberta museum and edmonton art gallery on sunday.
chris brought me flowers and breakfast on the morning of my birthday, we spent the day working on the house and then went out for dinner - again, i wish i'd gotten someone to take a photo of us.
i'm happy that we were able to spend so much time together, i really feel like we're making small progresses on the house each time i'm there too.
