Today didn't start off so hot. Mom was all bitchy at me because I hadn't packed my crap for vacation yet, and I told her I'd do it later, which of course pissed her off. So then I didn't want to watch a movie with my brother, which of course set him off on his usual "Gee, let's torment Melissa until she screams" routine, which was composed of sitting in my doorway and belching. I eventually got tired of this, so I slammed the door in his face and locked it. So he sticks the end of a paintbrush into my doorknob to pick the lock when I told him not to because I didn't want him to break it and have it lodged in my door. So I open the door and he throws stuff at me, to the point where I slapped him across his jerky little face. Of course, he ran to tell because god forbid someone should give him a taste of his own medicine. So after my parents and I screamed at each other, I locked myself in my room for about two hours and blasted Queen music.
Thankfully, Erin called to invite me to the Quarry swim club, so I was able to get out of the house for a few hours, which put me in a much better mood. It was lots of fun, and we got to run away from these three horseflies that I swear were on a mission to get us. But I got to hang out with one of my best friends, and all was well. I leave for vacation tomorrow, so don't expect me back for a week or so. Erin's coming, so it should be lots of fun ^___^

Anyway, I'm in a much better mood now that I've had a chance to vent, and ate a chocolate italian ice. So all is well! See you lot in a week!
