Well, Melanie broke my heart last night as we were having our nightly talk before bed.

Her kindergarten uses a system called "Kid Writing" to teach the kids to write.  They keep journals at school and write and draw about various topics that they like.  Her school held a Kid Writing workshop last week for parents to attend.  The idea was for us ( Read more... )

I work for a rug company, so I can get any rug we sell for "cost" instead of retail price.  The problem is, most rugs are too expensive for my budget, even at cost.  So  I generally buy the cheaper ones.  But a new rug design was introduced by one of our vendors and I was instantly in love with it.  It is one of the most expensive rugs we carry, of ( Read more... )

So someone put a flyer on my door a couple weeks ago basically saying she wanted everyone on our street to have a yard sale on June 30th.  She would do all of the advertising and we could just put stuff out that morning.  What a great idea!  So if everyone does it, there will be TONS of foot traffic on our street.  The family that lives across from ( Read more... )

We've recently moved into a very nice neighborhood.  We love our house, our yard, our street, and our neighbors.  Now, our next door neighbor has a very very nice home.  I've always admired it from the outside and over the weekend, I got to see the inside.  The inside is equally perfect and just plum full of stuff.  More cool stuff than you could ( Read more... )
