Baby, it's cold outside...
Nothing like the Midwest ice storms, so I can't really complain, but icky weather in Nor Cal today. Flooding, power outages, ridiculously high winds... ick! Luckily I am nice and cozy inside, curled up on my in-laws' couch under a blanket, reading Harry Potter and skulking around on Livejournal. Aaaah I finally feel like I'm on vacation! Actually, it's been nice... aside from a brief stint in the rain doing some thesis research, Tim and I have been relaxing (aka for me, painting!) and watching movies at his parents' house for the past three days. It's the first time all vacation I've felt relaxed, which is good-- I don't want to go back to Oregon on Tuesday!
Happily, my newest painting is going quickly and going well, which hasn't happened in months. I'm actually painting about 50% of it using Painter, which is nice. I quite love this one-- it's the best I've done, hands-down. Still, I think I'll wait til her companion piece is done and the website up before posting. Course with my luck, the other one will NOT go smoothly! And I still havne't done anything at all for the website since break started... I'm about to purchase the domain even without picking a host yet, since I really think I want it.
So, I'm feeling quite lazy today... I think it's time to open Photoshop and start my daily work on the new painting. Takes me a while to do that, since I know once I do I'll be glued to it for at least six hours :D
