The Day of Dim Sum and other such adventures.

I had a brilliant day yesterday in London. Met up with Haris, Rio, and Luke for lunch (and a wander around London) and we went for dim sum in China Town. I can't remember for the life of me what the restaurant is called but it was amazing. We ordered fourteen dishes and it all came to a total of around £30. Most of the dishes were either prawn or pork which was both lucky and unlucky considering Haris is Muslim so therefore he cannot eat pork - so the prawn saved the day! I'm absolutely in love with lo bak go (turnip cake), lou mai gai (little parcels of rice with pork in the middle), and the cheong fun (rice noodle rolls), and there was also deep fried sweet potato with a red bean paste in the middle - OMNOMNOMNOM!

After that we had some pearl tea, bought some Dragon's beard candy, and then wandered over to Cybercandy where I bought some Plopp (icky Swedish chocolate), some sweets, and a pair of beautiful blue glasses ^_^ The rest of the day was spent wandering around London looking in some shops and generally have a stroll. It was great; the weather was lovely and I couldn't have asked for a better day!

My sister is off to California tomorrow for three weeks, so I'm rather jealous but I do hope she has a good time. I hopefully get to see Jason this weekend and then I think Jason, my mum, and I will be going for dim sum next week as well as looking in some museums.
