My house is like a war zone right now. We're painting (actually mostly my parents do) and everything is misplaced. There's stacks of books in the middle of the living room, boxes in the kitchen etc. My sister decided to redecorate her room, gave away most of her stuff and furniture, and painted the walls a shade of lilac. It turned out pretty nice, actually!
Remember how I gushed in
that other entry about having a ton of projects to do? I must have gotten a little overexcited, because I took up even more. Yesterday in my Rhetoric class we had a discussion about the "acting" involved in speeches and debates, complete with a demonstration by two young men who barged into the classroom while our professor was speaking. I mean that, they came tumbling in and yelling. They were having an intense conversation about obeying the Gods, and we were all completely taken aback. Then we realized they were actors, playing a scene from the
Aristophanes play,
The Clouds. It was great fun, a "happening" of sorts in our class. I've said it before, the Rhetoric professor and his class in general rule the world. So then he suggested we write a satirical play of our own, which will take place in the school, and stage the production. Of course I signed up. ;D We'll see how that turns out, although I'm thinking it will go well, like everything else I'm doing at the moment. You believe in something enough, eventually it comes true. :)
Gotta be off now. Gorgias awaits! *jumps*
PS: ...I hate Plato.
