The steam from the tub rose in tiny little clouds towards the light shade in the bathroom.
Kai lay back, mesmerized by the the pretty vision before him. His fingers toyed over the bubbles in the water, the scent of strawberries filled his lungs with eveytime he inhaled. He knew that was the smell of Aoi's special bubble bath he didn't let anyone use, a ghost of a smile played on Kai's lips at that knowledge. He felt a little special himself at the moment. Everyone was being so nice to him, treating him so well, he loved these boys with all his heart, he really did.
"Hey you" Aoi interrupted his thoughts as he came back into the room carrying a new pair of pj bottoms for him and one of his own t-shirts.
"Sorry dude, its all i could find, all your tee's must be in the wash" he apologized
Kai smiled "It's ok"
The older man knelt beside the tub
"How you feeling?" he reached his hand over to run his fingers through the cute little drummers wet dark hair
Humming contentedly as he closed his eyes, Kai nodded
"I'm better now thankyou"
"Good" came out as a shaky reply from Aoi. Being this close to a naked, wet Kai was doing things to him as it was, he didn't need the other man making the situation worse by making those sensual sort of noises.
'Snap the fuck out of it dude, he's you're friend, he's upset, stop getting the horn for him, at least not right now, it's fucking despicable' the guitarist silently scolded himself
"You get the booze ready?" Kai asked, snapping Aoi from his thoughts and back to reality
A sly grin slid across Aoi's full, pink lips
"What do you take me for? Of course i did"
"Fuckin A, you rule" Kai patted the older man's ego
Smiling like an idiot Aoi reached his hand down, fingers stroking over the other man's cheek, thumb brushing ever so lightly across Kai's lips. Kai looked up into his eyes.
"No babe, you do"
The drummer laughed "No i don't and i won't break ya know?" he teased
Aoi laughed
"Are you all washed and done?"
Kai nodded "Yup"
"Ok, than lets get you out of there" Aoi rose to his feet, arms outstretched towel spread evenly from shoulder to shoulder, ushering Kai to step out of the tub and into his towel clad embrace.
Kai reached over, steading himself on Aoi's shoulder's as he stepped out of the bath. His foot slipped on the ceramic tub sending him fully into the other man's arms. Aoi caught him with no trouble at all.
"Wow, easy there"
There faces were mere inches from one another. Kai blushed as he quickly pulled back, wrapping his body in the offered towel
"Thanks" he stuttered. This would not do, he didn't need any complication's, especially not tonight.
"It's ok" Aoi had an obvious redness to his own cheeks
"I'll.....um......get the drink ready, k?" stuttering himself, Aoi glanced up and down Kai's naked form before hurriedly exiting the room, leaving the recently single man standing there wondering what the hell had happened there to cause the awkwardness that hung so thickly in the air now.
Shrugging it off and praying for an uneventful night for what was left of it anyway, Kai began drying his body before the coldness in the apartment began to seep into his bones.
His mind cast immediately to Miyavi, cold and alone on the doorstep. He threw the towel down, tossing his clothes on, quickly and with little thought. He had to make sure he was ok. He would catch pneumonia if he stayed out there for much longer.
Racing out into the hall, pulling the last garment over his head, he ran straight into Ruki
"Easy man"
Poking his head through the small hole, Kai looked round til he found the much shorter man standing right in front of him
"Sorry Ru, i was just going to see if ....."
"I know what you were going to do" Ruki interrupted him "but he's gone, Reita forced him to go home, he's driving him there now"
Kai couldn't hide the disappointment that spread across his features at the news
"Hey" Ruki lifted his hand to caress the taller mans bicep "it's for the best, no good can be done at this hour"
Kai laughed
"Yeah true"
"Go to bed" Ruki yawned as he slowly shifted his tired form towards his own room
Kai nodded but headed for the living room instead once the singers door was closed.
"There he is" Aoi smiled as he handed Kai a glass of a dark coloured liquid
"Expecting someone else" Kai joked
Taking a seat on the sofa, Aoi, pulled his legs up onto the seat next to his own as a thoughtful look crossed his face
"Well the man whore i ordered earlier hasn't showed up yet, so...."
Kai laughed, throwing himself onto the cushion next to the guitarist
"Will i do?" he grinned
Face becoming serious for a nano second, a look the younger man missed as he was sipping his drink, which turned out to be Whiskey, Aoi repiled
"Yeah, you'll do just fine babe"
